- Description
- The prediction of reclaim capacity from a bulk material stockpile is an important aspect of plant design. Unfortunately it is often undertaken using erroneous methods that overestimate the live capacity resulting in an undersized stockpile. This paper presents a method for use with a 3D solids modeling package, which, if correctly implemented, provide results in agreement with site measurements. This paper provides guidelines to take into account the effects of the 'M' pressure effect [1][2][3] under conical stockpiles.
